A. The Junior League of Daytona Beach Thrift Shop has been in existence since the 1960’s and continues to be one of the most successful thrift stores in our town. It is our largest fundraiser, with profits of about $140,000 annually. They accept donations of clothing, shoes, accessories, housewares, small appliances, small furniture, electronics, books and children’s toys. The JLDB Thrift Shop is located at 122 S. Each member is required to make two donations a year valued at $75 or more.

Q. What types of women are in the Junior League?

A. The Junior League of Daytona Beach reaches out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to volunteerism. We have women of all ages, single, married, career women, mothers and retired.

Q. Do women in the Junior League have time to be involved with other organizations?

A. Yes! It is our mission to train and develop our members to become civic leaders and to serve our community in many capacities.

Q. Do hours from other charities count?

A. No. We have no way of tracking the hours given in service to other charities. Additionally, we carefully select new projects and community partners based on the number of members we have and the number of overall hours we are able to serve. In order to make our projects successful and to serve our community partners, we all need to serve our designated hours.
