As a new member to the Junior League of Daytona Beach it is our mission to make your experience fun and rewarding. We plan social gatherings and networking opportunities during the year so new members can get to know the rest of the League and each other. To become a member please complete this application. We also ask that new members participate in our events and projects - this is a great way to understand how the League's projects affect our community. To help you get acquainted to the League you have a team of active members to answer any questions and be mentors - the New Member Team. What to Expect as a Time Commitment as a New MemberAttend meetings outlined in the New Member calendar Attend New Member Community Tour Attend Low Ropes Course Participate in New Member Project Complete (6) hours of Community Service Complete (6) hours of Fundraising - (3) of which should be completed at the Thrift Shop
Community & Fundraising hours are available during the day, at night and on the weekends to accommodate everyone's schedules. Friends & family volunteers may often count toward your hour commitments. What to Expect as a Financial Commitment - Dues of $120 for the year - payment plans are available and you can pay online
- (1) Thrift Shop donations with a value of $75 or more
- (15) Paperback books donated to the Thrift Shop
- You may also purchase items for events to count toward your hour commitments
Upon successful completion, new members will achieve active status - once active, members receive volunteer placements for the remainder of the year. All new member requirements
